2014 Bike Ped Counts

BikePedCounts

Welcome to the 2014 City of Omaha Pedestrian & Bicycle Count!

Thank you for taking the time and interest in volunteering to count. All this could not be done without help from
our tireless volunteers! Special thanks go out to Julie Harris from Live Well Omaha and Stephen Osberg from
Mode Shift Omaha without all their help and support the counts would not be possible!

Background Information:

The counts are being complete to collect vital data of typical usage of our facilities in the City. The information will
be used to help inform decision makers, help identify locations of high use and help secure funding to improve
conditions in the years to come. The last time the counts were conducted was in 2011 an executive summary could be found here.

The counts are being conducted following the methodology of the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project..

S-Curve Area Connectivity Project

The existing S-Curve does not meet current design standards. Enhancements would correct this and offer land use linkages
between Midtown, Downtown,
